The European Storm!

All we have been hearing about the past couple of seasons in professional surfing is the Brazilian storm, and it's very hard to disagree with. Adriano De Souza and Gabriel Medina have become world champions, Filipe Toledo will surely join that list as well, and then there's Italo Ferreira, Ciao Ibella, Jadson Andre, Alejo Muniz and Miguel Pupo who can take out any of the worlds best on their day.

But after a frantic day of competition at Sunset yesterday are we about to see the beginning of the European storm?

We all know what Jeremy Flores is capable of, he is a pipe master and scored a perfect 20 point heat at Teahupo'o back in 2013. But in the 2017 season he is going to have some serious backup.

Leo Fioravanti made his mark in 2016 with 2 victories of kelly slater and also beating world champion Adriano De Souza.

There will also be Frederico Morias who has 2 runner up finishes at the season ending vans world cup of surfing, narrowly being defeated by John John Florence and Jordy Smith in back to back finals, and then there is Joan Duru, after a solid performance at the Hawaiian Pro the Frenchman had climbed to No. 2 on the QS, locking his spot on next year's Tour.

Watch out world, the European storm is coming!
