Board Of The Week, A Closer Look
The title is quite self-explanatory but in these blog posts we are are going to take a closer look at the BOTW, and this week it is:
Mango Surfboards Mini Mal:
The Mango Surfboard brand came about after a meeting with shaping legend Nigel Semmens. We wanted to create a good looking range of affordable, UK shaped boards to suit all surfers in a wide range of different conditions and so far the mid-length board has been the most popular shape.
Our mid-length is based on the hugely popular "magic carpet" design. It is basically a Longboard with the center 2 1/2 ft chopped out. This makes it a great all round surfboard choice for many reasons. It has the same width in the nose, tail and centre point as a traditional Longboard, meaning it paddles and catches waves with ease while remaining perfectly stable in bigger waves and still performing beautifully in smaller conditions.
There is enough lift in the nose to avoid pearling when 'paddling in' and the rounded pintail promotes smooth and loose turns.
This board has become one of the most recognized in the market as they are simply one of the most fun to ride, travel with, put in the car, lend to the kids, surf when its small, ride on an average day, ride all the time, enough said!
Check out the pictures below.
